Tali Oswald

  Name: Talli Oswald
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Description: 18 year old Talli's overall appearance can be summed up as perky, petite and has a kind of deep earthy beauty to it! She has deep brown hair that is short and can never decide whether it wants to flick out everywhere or fall in its layers over her face. Her eyes are a unique shade of golden brown, which brighten up her face and have a very keen yet curious look to them, as though she is always trying to look within everyone she meets to understand them better. She is slim and a bit short for her age, but she has amazing strength in her arms and legs making her look quite athletic. She usually makes all her own clothes with earthy colored materials in browns, green, creams etc in shirts and almost always lose/baggy trousers and only ever wore dresses while her father was alive.

Talli is and always shall be young at heart, loving any kind of excitement or opportunity to do something that'll get the adrenaline pumping. For although Talli has loved her home and father, she has an incurable hunger to learn about new comers to the island and hear of the outside world. Anything related to the outer world excites and fascinates her. She has never really grown up around lots of people or taken much notice of social graces, so she can tend to behave a little unorthodox at times, a little loud and rash but has learnt from her parents to respect all species and so can sometimes treat dinosaurs with more respect than her own race! She also takes after her father in that she is very talented musically. She can play a flute her father made her from haunting melodies to lively jigs and she has a very young, clear singing voice that can glide out across glades and mountain sides.

History: Talli Oswald is part of a blood-line that is fabled to be traced back to the original ship-wrecked souls upon the island many centuries ago, but Talli is not so sure. She grew up with her father (a talented carpenter and musician) in a small wooden cottage that was said to have been built by the first settlers of the island, in the Forbidden Mountains a few miles outside of Powder Top Village. Her mother, who had studied dinosaur languages and psychology, died giving birth to her and 18 years on, Talli's father has now died in a rather bizarre and traumatic accident. For centuries, the small hut had never been attacked by any form of creature. Yet, one day, as Talli returned from plowing a field quite far away from the house she found her home completely destroyed, left in splintered ruins and soggy misery and her father's body was a no better sight. It was obviously a predator attack, but Talli has never been able to discover what species it was to this day. After burying his body on the mountain, she felt she had to leave her happy childhood behind, leave her family home, and leave all those years of blissful innocence and warmth.

Equipped with what little she could salvage from centuries of humble memories, her deep knowledge of the land and hard conditioning to survival in the wild and accompanied by her own life partner, a young Microceratops called Bug and her father's life partner, a wise Thecodontosaurus whom she could ride, she travels outwards from the mountain she grew up on and towards people and bustle. She is hoping to somehow find work in the bigger towns and Cities with the one thing she can do very well: Sing! Her singing voice is hauntingly clear and when she sings her eyes light up with a sad hue accompanied by the distant glow of a lost happy childhood.
