Arthur Denison hangs precariously from the tail of an Apatosaurus as he tries to rescue a scroll carrying an
important message that has fallen into the canal. It must be retrieved before it is swept over the edge of the falls
and disappears forever. Color studies created in Salamanca, Spain, inspired the painting's architectural details.
